Montgomery County marriage license indexes from approximately 1975 to the present are available on our website. Records prior to 1975 are being added; however, not all older records are available online at this time. If you are searching for a pre-1975 license that is not listed in our index, contact our recording section at (334) 832-1239.

Records that are listed but contain only a book & page number and "M" as the supplement number must be researched further through the Recording Section. Call (334) 832-1236.

Land Record Search Directions

When searching by name, search results appear with a gray "+" button on the left. Click this button to see a list of documents. Whether you search by name (last name first name & no comma) or book & page, to see the document click the page number located near the center of the line. The view button does not show the document.

To print a document, press the large print button just above the document. If you do not want to print the entire document select Pages in the Page Range box and type in the page numbers separated by a comma. Do not use the print icon on the Internet Explorer taskbar.

Wild Card Searches: You can do a wild card search on our Land Records system when you cannot find a document you think should be in the system or when you want to make sure you are not leaving out a document because of possible mis-indexing. To do a wild card search, go to Party Name on the search screen and enter a % sign before a word or group of letters you are searching for. Example: "%hub" will bring up people with the last name "Hubbard" and people with the first name "Hubert." The search will probably be slow, and the resulting list long. You can limit the search by editing the "Group Type" and beginning and ending dates below the party name box.Web Accounts
